Yesterday's News. Okay, more like, last month's news.. you get the idea.

Now aside from that, a few people have come up and told me straight up that this site looks like crap. Well.. SCREW YOU!

Okay no, seriously, I'm aware of this.

The point of this site was to set up basic, VERY basic groundwork, and build from there.

The first step in all this was getting a decided logo, which took FOREVER since no one goes here, but I think it's pretty much decided now. So with a final logo design in place, I can then recreate things based off that. I try to work very.. compositionally. I like to keep a certain style throughout. Right now the style is, bare-bones nothing. Do i plan to LEAVE it that way? hell no. Just give me awhile, because this is something I do in my fleeting free time, and it takes awhile.

So the point is, yes i know the site looks like crap right now. It's not done, it's BARELY even started. I just want it to be functional for now, and i think it functions well enough.

On a side note, Idle is working on his own member page for the site, and if any of you want to do that, then by all means! Go right ahead! Less work for me.

Just let me know when you have the page I can link to.

I've been feeling better, and with the extra time on my hands, I went kinda update-crazy with this site. But thats a good thing, because it means more.. well, updates!

So as things stand right now, graphically, I'm pretty happy with it all. The main graphic MIGHT need some toning down, but i haven't decided yet. For now I'm pretty satisfied.

Not too sure what else I would do to this place, graphically. I don't want to get overly heavy on the load times, or overly cluttered. So we might be done for awhile.

Aside from graphics, the next thing I would really like to get off the ground is member pages. A place for everyone to post whatever they want. Pictures, movies, music, etc. Maybe a little bio on yourself and why you joined psk. Things like that. I don't have- or want, a rigid structure for those pages. I'd like anyone to do whatever they want with it. And! I did mine up for the hell of it, so you can check that out and get ideas if you'd like. Well, enjoy!

I got four updates to hit ya'll with today.

1. New member! KaGo! You should know him. We played with him for WEEKS, maybe months, before ""popping the question". Luckily, he didn't answer with the standard "no.. i can't join.. I suck". So alright! Welcome aboard man! I at least, i'm extremely happy to have you in the pack. =D

2. Psk Rap!

ET made a rap about us! it's short, only 22 seconds, but.. he made a RAP about us!

So if you wanna hear that, just look to the left and play the little window. If anyone wants it for download, just let me know. For now, I'm streaming it.

3. Member pages member pages.. member pages!

People don't seem to get how this works. I need to you send me info! So i can put it together.

But! Idle has also volunteered to make some for people if they want. He should have a page for me to post soon, and after you check it out, you can see if you'd like to use his as a template or etc.

4. Apparently we now have an IRC channel! I have no idea how these work, honestly. Idle was supposed to email me the details but he hasn't yet. All i know is that you put #psk somewhere.

I'll have more details on this when I.. well, get them!

Seems like all I do is update with new members, these days. But hey thats good, right? We're growing bigger and bigger every day! Kind of amazing when you consider how casual a clan we are. Maybe that appeals to more people eh?

Anyway.

Syn, and SuperN@ds are new members! And if you don't know these guys, you need to play more. They ALWAYS hang around us. Syn in particular. It was about time he got asked. And SuperN@ds asked hand if he could join, so there you have it! Nice to have you both!

The only other thing I want to mention is a friend of mine warned me highly about IRC. He said it leaves your ports open to tons of trojans and whatnot. The last time he used IRC he got some 400 viruses, and yes, he HAD protection- or was supposed to.

Either way, I'm gonna avoid IRC myself. You guys might just use your machine for just gaming, but I have a serious chunk of my life on it, which absolutely cannot be killed with viruses.

Oh and also, I made an extra page for old news, in case you get bored and want to check back. Mostly i did this for the pictures i got from slack and those guys, because until they make a page.. i dont have anywhere to put it yet. So old news it goes.

Alright, just two updates!

1. EADGbe joined psk finally! Well, that is, he joined period. I don't think he was ever asked before, but we've had our eye on him for awhile ;)

Also as a note on this, the poor guy had to suffer through a grueling 45 something minute interview by Prowler, and hand and myself. Though Prowler was leading it. We just provided comic relief or stupid comments.. Hmm.. are those the same thing?

The first update in forever, that doesn't have a new member as our headline!

So the update today is three things.

1. ET finished the full psk rap! Check it out by clicking the link to the bottom left. It's been replaced with the new file. Thanks ET! Lyrics will be posted in the forums soon.

2. A new wallpaper was made, this time by Gogandantes. It's posted in the forums, but if you want to see a sample of it, just click right here.

3. Idle has been working on a template flash page for the "members" section, and so this is how it will work. You tell him what you want and send him the files and so forth, and he puts it all together for you.

He sent me an example tonight of how it will work, though said "it will be totally different when it's final". This is something from a school project, but you get the idea of how it works. The big window is where all the information goes, and the side bar is how to pick between different things, and etc.

I'll post the new and improved one when he gets that restorred (had a power outage and lost it all), but until then, you get a sense of what he's trying to do.

Idle said to me that he'd like to do this to help improve our community. So more people do stuff and it's not just me or 3 others doing everything.

I'd say.. well put. Well put. And thank you for that! We'll see what comes over the next few weeks.

Two things to point out in this update.

First, New members!

Welcome Havok21 (who is now just "Havok:psk:" -Note the : : instead of . - )

and Renegade.

Havok we've definitely been been playing for a long time now, and someone asked.. "why haven't you guys recruited Havok yet?" So I did ;)

Extra note: I DARE anyone to harass him and be like "WTF MAN!? WHY ARE YOU WEARING OUR TAG?!?"

I say that because last night he was actually nervous about wearing it, even though i told him it was cool, and wanted to clear it with Hand first. Hey! I have power too damnit! But seriously, heh, thats why i say that. So the dare is out there, have fun!

And I'm not sure if i've seen Renegade before (name yourself after a bot and you will get confusion!) but welcome anyway! No funny story to go only with him.. but still good to have another player onboard.

By the way guys, that puts us over 40 members. Hows about that?

Second thing is that i'm gonna try and just update on Saturdays, unless something pressing shows up that needs to be posted immediately. This way, everyone knows when to look, and it makes this place less cluttered. So! There you have it. Depending on how that goes, I might shift it to Sunday instead, but we'll see.

Okay guys, another update for you today. A little over a month, but what can I say? News has been nonexistant.

So the first thing I want to mention is that Jak_Squat has left psk. However, ulike the previous members who left with bad feelings, Jak simply left because he loves VCTF and HTM started a whole team around that. So Jak went to HTM because they offer him alot more fun, and there isn't a thing wrong with that. But as Jak was a long time member of psk, he'll be missed. Again though, he's just doing what he can to have the most fun, so good for you Jak! And he's not gone, you can easily find him at HTM.

So Jak left, but we got some new members!

First, OneEightSeven joined- but when? I have no idea! I just saw him with the tag one day. No one ever told me, but he's friends with A-Stray_Bullet anyways, so thats cool. I just wish someone told me so I could keep this place updated! Ah well.

Then, Melania joined as of yesterday. She posted on our boards and a number of people had played with her before, so that wasn't a hard decision. She marks the second girl to the clan! Maybe this one won't just spectate all the time.. Not that there's anything wrong with that! ^_-

Other news.. Goatboy of SBD was extremely nice and let us piggyback off their server to post photos! A bunch of people have already started, so what are you waiting for? Go over there and post!

Lastly, we might be getting our OWN server sometime soon! Which is about time, right? We'll see how that goes, but a few members- including myself, are pretty serious about it. As more news comes on that, I will let you know.

This time for updates, I have a ton.

First, psk went through a little bit of a shake up over the past few weeks. Some members were creating trouble, for both us and themselves. We had a long discussion about this, and the end result is the following:

Ghost_Zero has been removed

Cruise quit

OneEightSeven was sorta removed even though he was apparently never in.

Renegade was just "removed" since he never wears the tag and doesn't seem to care either way

Besides that, we went through and looked at the "dead" members. people who never play at all anymore (in terms of like, 6+ months). And they are:

THC

Silent

So a whole bunch of people have been cleaned out. We call it "trimming the fat", and as clans get bigger, it has to happen now and then.

Other members had a few issues, but we talked to them and things are okay now. They have their "warning" as it is. Hopefully no more problems arise.

The second news is that remember how i said we might be getting a server? Well, we will. Just give it a little time. At this point, it will be taken care of by myself, Cannibal, Syn, and Ead. We just have to get a good system going with it, and i need to get a paypal account (they've been giving me huge issues)

Third news is that we're changing how we let people in, and going more with a "voting" system. The hope is that this will cut down on problem members, and also the notion that we "let anyone in".

If you are a member, be sure to get yourself registered on the boards! Because thats the only way we're gonna be doing it. Aside form minor talking about it in game.

And thats it. Quite a bit of news, huh? That should cover us for awhile. Seeya again when there is more to report

Well it's been a little over a month since the last update.. So I have one now!

First off, we got a new member! SevRD who comes from <<C>> (curse) to join up with us. He's good people, and I personally am happy to see him take interest in hooking up with us. You should all pretty much know him anyway.

The second bit of news is.. Information on Prowler!

The guy has been gone for months.. or has he?

Yesterday, he calls me up and reveals to me the REAL truth.. he's been playing as: Knightmare!

He wanted to call and let me know what was going on, because people figured him out, and he decided it was time to come clean now.

So whats up with that? Does he hates us? has he quit .psk? Is "Prowler" gone for good?

No, No, and No.

He told me he's just been trying to practice, and aliased because that way no one bothers him. He doesn't get shit from players who hate him and seek him out, and he doesn't get his fan club following him around and bugging him all the time while he just wants to practice. It's nothing personal, he's just been trying to train for 2k7- where he actually wants to compete in. So aliasing as Knightmare, he gets to practice all he wants and not worry about anyone distracting him. Just the game..

But there is actually this feature in AntiTCC.. that blew his cover. It's called "Who is.." and what you do is type "who is" and then the player's name, in the console. IE: "who is Knightmare" and it will tell you ALL the names they've been playing as. Or at least most recently.

SO someone did this too him yesterday, and blew his cover.. and he figured he might as well come clean AND tell everyone the real story before rumors started flying around that he left/hates us, etc.

So there ya have it. Knightmare revealed! Prowler found. One Unsolved mystery.. solved.

Update Time! Lots to update. Lets hit em.

1. We got a server!

But we're going to look into getting a new one on the west coast. The one currently is in Chicago.. and it's been surprisingly really good, considering the location. Most players end up around 60-80 ping, which isn't bad at all. Still, majority wants it west, so we're gonna head west with it.

We're going to keep it for at least 1 month though, so be sure to go check it out if you want! It's been damn popular over the past few nights. Ead especially has done a ton of awesome work with it. Lots of maps, lots of modes, and lots of.. ::shudder:: Zounds! Great stuff. Give Ead your thanks if you see him.

2. Two new recruits! Welcome in:

Shagg.psk

Gloinar has been following us for awhile and as his first real clan experience.. a bunch of us (myself included) wanted it to be a good one for him. So welcome aboard man. Just stop talking about how much you suck!

Shagg is a friend of Scoob's, which instantly gets him points, but besides that? he's a great guy too. So two new additions to our ever expanding roster. Hope you enjoy yourself here, guys!

And we ALSO got new message boards. I've changed the link on the main site to redirect over there. If they seem barren though.. don't fret. it just takes people forever to change =P

The boards are being especially dressed up nicely by Steevoh. So, like Ead and the server.. give him your thanks!

I've also gone through and updated this site.

added some more links, especially to our friends at Khz. Redid the "about psk" section over completely. And, added more credits now that there is more credit to give =D

lastly, Idle's been working on a new site for us too. Don't know how long that will take.. but big, big plans for it. Maybe even too big. But hey.. we're a big group!

Got some updates for people today, does anyone even check this? well if so..

Joker joined us a little while ago. Thats J()!<er or something like that.. you know, all 1337 ish. But yeah, he joined up, and we're happy to have him! Sorry it too so long, man. Been kinda busy and such..

Another thing is that The server is still up in the air, as I write this. Our current one ends in 7 days, but despite this.. people seem to have no idea where to go. theres been a few speculations now and then, but nothing concrete yet. Well? Guys Where to? Need some answers! I myself will be gone for 13 days while my brother visits SF, but when I get word one where to go.. I'll transfer the funds there.

Other news is that Idlehands, one of our longest members, quit UT for awhile. Concentrating on school and other things, he won't be hanging out in game for a pretty long time. Idle made a ton of contributions to psk, and though we originally were at eachother's throats, he turned out to be one my favorite guys. I could always go to him too, for member issues and so forth. He'll definitely be missed, but not gone for good. He plans to make a comeback with 2k7.. After, of course, he gets down with Quake 4..

Sooo.. Like the new look? ^_^

I sure hope so, as I spent a good.. 5 or 6 hours of my night last night/this morning, putting it together. We all agreed to switch up the logo, and I liked the graphic I made for the message boards better than what I had here.. So one thing led to another, and before I knew it.. the entire site got a facelift. I really think it's for the better though. And what better time than now.. As we're part of the Community Reload UT event! Time to dress up.. Look pretty for the cameras..

I've lent my graphic skills to it, but you guys can also do so much more. This thing is set to take off any day now, and it's already building up so much momentum.. I can barely keep up. Don't know what it is? Read this, posted on BeyondUnreal:

This idea has been thrown around several times within our community, but finally several clans have teamed up to bring you Community Reload, a training event for new-comers to teach both game skill as well as fair play and sportsmanship:

Several clans and players in the UT2K4 community have begun this project in the interest of revitalizing the on-line experience. Community Reload wants to help those in need of assistance by providing "in-game" workshops built around honing the skills and tactics of players new to the game, on up to advanced players just in need of a little brush-up.

But it's MORE than that...Venturing out in to an on-line world by yourself can be intimidating and some players can find it difficult to carve out their own little niche in the Unreal Tournament world. Community Reload is offering a haven to players who are searching for a sense of acceptance free from harassment or ridicule. We want to demonstrate exactly what it means to be a part of it all...from headshots to sportsmanship.

We know that the community is only as good as its participants, so we are extending an invitation to all players to come join the experience that has given us all so much. It's our turn to give something back and we want to start with you!

Come visit us and sign up for one (or more) of many workshops taught by some of UT2K4's most experienced fraggers. We'll send you back to the arena "armed" with the knowledge to help you be the best you can be! And even if you feel you don't need any help in the skills department, come by and say "hello"; make some friends! Better yet, volunteer to help out those in need of advice. Get your clan involved! You stand to gain a lot and so do we. New players are the life-blood of any game and ours is no different!

The team is in need of help. If you or your clan can contribute servers, trainers, or any other resources that could help, don't hesitate to stop by and let them know. Alternatively, you can show your support by displaying a few of the team's logos and graphics to help spread the word.

So yes, a really kick ass event that I'm proud to say I'm a part of. More than that however, psk as a clan is ALSO part of it. We're a representing clan in this, so please.. Head over there and represent! Just take note, right now it's ALL still in planning stages. that includes the event itself, the website, the structure, etc etc.

In other news, we're FINALLY going to get a second server. As everyone had such a problem with AA's (they were great, people just whine about ping too much), we're now looking into two possible outcomes. This issue should be worked out very soon, so that will be some news to post.

In yet more news, EADGbe sadly left us a few weeks ago. Due to personal reasons, he doesn't hold any bad feelings towards us or any specific members.. He just decided he could not keep playing with "pot smoking killa" attached to him. EAD was/is a great guy, and he's one of the saddest losses we've had over the psk timeline. He was also our admin for the AA server, and a damn good one at that. Easily one of MY favorite players, and it's definitely not the same with him around. We press on, but it's truly sad to see him go. Yep, I miss him, can you tell? The good news however, he's not GONE for the game. He now plays under the name "Deputy_Dawg". Aside from seeing him in game, you can almost always find him at the SBD forum shoutbox. He didn't actually join SBD, but I SWEAR he just lives on that thing.. =P

And more news.. psk had a scrim against HTM the other night (just for kicks, not seriously) that we won! Both games. You can check out in more detail right here.

Hmm.. I think thats all the news I got. Again, please check out the Commnity Reload Event. If nothing else, you will probably make more friends than you could ever imagine. I've already met so many great people THIS WEEK than I can hardly keep track of. I feel like I respond to a posts every 5 minutes because so many people are showing up.. It's insanely frantic.. Actually had quite a bit of news over the past month, but just forgot to report on it other than the boards.. So here we go!

The big big news is that we got a server finally! It's a 10 man TAM/DM server (often times listed as 12) hosted by clanservers.com, in Dallas. IP: 63.209.37.127

This server has quickly skyrocketed in popularity, to the point that our own members haven't even been able to get in! While some get upset by this, I personally enjoy the popularity. So thanks to those who've been enjoying it so far. We'll have more updates throughout the months. More maps, more zounds, more content. Something to look forward to.

I'd like to thank the following people for their help in getting this off the ground:

-OneEightSeven and Stray_Bullet for their countless effort and work loading everything and making the server the stable, fun, and low ping place is is today.

-Ethyn (not psk) for his suggestion to use ClanServers, who have turned out to be a fantastic host.

-Idle_Hands and EADGbe (not psk anymore) for their work is gathering up the zounds to use for the server.

-Melania for volunteering to be one of the main admins

-And all the people who have flooded to the server to make it almost always a full place.

I've updated the Credits section to include the server information.

Other than that big news, Gloinar will be leaving us for awhile. He's still remaining on the roster, but won't be able to play pretty soon, as he has personal matters to deal with. Good luck Glo, be sure to stay in touch.

I also added )o('s clan page to our list of friend links. The Omnipotents are great people, especially Stormblade who's really made an effort to be friendly to pretty much EVERYONE he meets. An Admin on )o(, CR, and a regular at the psk boards. But so far all of )o( have been great people. Definitely check them out. You'll be warmly welcomed!

hehe.. I have to say, I'm surprised I got so many people to fall for that. The consensus seems to be that just about EVERYONE did. And not only that? you guys sided with me on it! Thats awesome! I can be a total son of a bitch and you all still got my back =D

On the other hand, you all make me feel HORRIBLE for pranking you, because I said all that stuff and left on the worst note possible.. And people are like.. Damn Red.. I'm so sorry man, we'll miss you.. wish it could have gone better..

But seriously. I should say thanks for all the support. I mean.. it was a joke, but wow, the reactions were primarily sadness, not anger. Weirdest part of all? Most people AGREED with me on what I said. Now THAT was a shocker.. Sure, some of the issues were real issues, and there was truth to it.. But lots was covered in overdramatic screaming lies. One person even told me i shouldn't even TELL them it was a prank, because psk members started talking about making a change finally!

So.. I have to go totally off the deep end and chew everyone out to get stuff done..?

psk has gone through a whole bunch of changes over the past month. Some good, some bad. Some sad.

Good changes:

Got new members! Welcome in BigBuddyWill and Ripwalk! I'm sure they'll make great additions to our roster.

Bad Changes:

removing members! This isn't necessarily bad, but needed to be done., as no one had seen these guys around in ages.. and we have no idea what happened to them.

Steevoh quit because of xbox live. which he's enjoying more. It happens.

And then, Idlehands quit.

Idle has been a member of psk since the founding days. He wasn't a direct founder like Hand, Myraid, and ET were.. but like myself, he played a huge part in it. It's funny to see how things changed over the years with idle playing. At first he was a very hardcore player, who i was actually having a little rivalry with because he'd camp things, spam shock.. horde items.. etc. All things that make me stalk people all over the map. We'd been at eachother's throats before, and I actually pissed him off so bad one time (lucky flak shots) he actually broke off a corner of his desk! But that all went away. we became good friends, and had a high respect for eachother. Most of psk respected Idle quite a bit too, I believe. If there was a such thing as a psk council, he'd definitely be in the top levels of it.

He did alot for us. Lots of which went disregarded by most.. which is highly unfortunate. He set up lots of zounds for us, he was working on a new site for a pretty long time, and he helped work in conjuction with me to keep things pretty orderly. I manage things well outside of the game, but as he played VERY frequently, he'd usually handle things in game. And like me, no one ever asked him to do this, he just took it upon himself to help out.

For a member around for such a very long time, he made a huge impact on what this clan became and how it got there. He'll likely be remembered for kicking the shit out of everyone's ass in game, but I remember the more overlooked things. And one of my fondest memories.. having all out no hitscan low grav wars until 5 in the morning. Oh.. and the time when we drive ghost out of the server by double teaming him- blatantly, in DM. Took Ghost forever to figure out what we were doing.. and it was so hilarious.. And easy! Since all Ghost would do was run the same each path every time. Ahhh.. great fun...

But alas, it was not to stay forever. Idle has moved on to a different clan which is rooted in 360 gaming, but wants to get into UT as well. He feels like he can make a bigger difference in that clan, and it's probably true. With luck, he will, and he'll get the respect and recognition he deserved when he tried it here. I wish him the best. But i can at least gladly say that he's not gone. He still plays, he still hangs out with psk, he's just off trying something new. And much like EADGbe (who even changed his name to Deputy Dawg, but we all still call him Ead), even though he quit.. he'll always be psk to us.

And almost 4 months later.. an update!

Not too much has happened over the past 4 months, but we have gotten some great members since the last update.

KingMango joins us! As a long time friend to hang out with, It's great to have this guy on board. He also happens to be a pretty well known mapper, and has even started work on a psk map. But more on that, below.

Micro_Juggs, who is Ex-KHz, also joins us. This guy is just a goofball, and comes from one of our favorite clans. It was surprising to hear of him leaving there, but hey, we'll take quality people if they want to join up.

And Lastly, Juiced (or Kali_King) also joins us. This guy is Ex-PoS, but doesn't create the trouble and bad sportsmanship that clan is known for. It's good he jumped that sinking ship, and we're happy to take him aboard ours.

Some welcome in! All 3 of you guys.

Other than that, I wanted to mention the map I talked about above. KingMango is working on it, like I said, but he isn't the only one! Scoob is also giving him a hand, and it's mostly just those two, really. I myself may help out with textures and such if I'm needed later, but it's all them right now. There is a section on the boards discussing some of it if anyone wants to check it out. But I'd imagine thats a good while out yet, still. They're currently working on just basic gameplay flow in it. Other than that, Scoob has also been busy working on the server. He's added a whole bunch more maps, tweaked a bunch of different settings, and been diligently trying to find out why it breaks in various different ways. He worked pretty much all of last weekend on it, uploading and re-uploading and.. well, you get the idea. The result though, is a more stable server with more maps and a few other tweaks here and there. This is a huge help! So be sure to thank Scoob, if you see him.

And if you like playing on the server, donate! Please? Funds are wearing thin on it.

Another "4 months later" updated, but no one checks these things anyway.. right? So who cares!

Today is a big deal of an update though, because we shut down the psk server. It barely got any use anyway, so there wasn't any real reason to keep it around. Finally we just gareed to axe it, so i did that today. It will remain until 12/18, but after that, it's R.I.P, psk server.

I wrote something about this on the boards, but I'm reposting it here, because it's kind of like a send off. And so......:

Yep. After long last, we're finally cancelling it. I did it today and it will be officially shut down on 12/18.

I talked to Scoob last week about it, and made sure he saved the important files from it- JUST in case for whatever reason, it got restarted. A ton of work went into that thing, and there isn't any reason to just throw it all away.

I know that in it's early days for at least probably 6-8 months, that server was a broken mess. This is because we had Admins who were new to it, and a flakey server that had a bunch of issues, but it was a mess, for sure. However, later on things got better. And for the past 6 months at least, things have been pretty solid. Every so often it would get into a looping error, but nothing at all difficult to fix. But regardless, people barely ever use it, and there really isn't any reason for that.

I jump on 2k4 now and again but I tend to find everyone hanging out in the anti-KHz server run by the biggest of all assholes: Tasty. Well, I refuse to ever join that server, and while I can't stop you guys from going there, I'm extremely disappointed that you'd support a place that was made JUST to be assholes to another clan. "great ping" or "great modes" aside, I just can't stand them. Especially a clan that, we used their server religiously. I think it's offensive, frankly, how quickly everyone moved over to that place after KHz was good to us for that long. But I digress...

Fact of the matter is, tons of people put work into the psk server. Be it, admining, or Zounds, or donations and so on. So here we go. Thanks to everyone who did something for it:
